Peter Lanyon Lost Mine 1959 Oil Paint on Canvas
Peter Lanyon is an inspirational artist for me. I wrote my dissertation on him and was influenced by the fantastic exhibition at Tate St Ives in November. His constructions are fascinating experimentations in space and triggered my questioning of depth in painting. The veils of paint and layers on the canvas are beautiful and communicate the amorphous air and crashing sea waves.
